Fear not, that's what i'm doing too. Building kit by kit as we can afford. In my garage. Build the empennage, then go to the fuselage, do that wings last. The fuselage, and associated stuff is 75% of the build. You don't need the wings till last.

Since your brining up the need to jack up the plane, I thought about sharing this:

FWIW, May not to so everywhere, but, here in TEXAS, we have Buc-ee's. They do sell at certain stations (ie the larger ones) an Ethanol free MoGas. Available to several octanes.
