CO Detector

Hey,

What are peoples thoughts on installing CO Detectors?

I know there's the cheap sticker ones that you have to replace often and may or may not work effectively.

I came across a company at our local aviation conference in Washington and they were also at Oshkosh this year - Aithre - they have a unit that can be integrated with the Garmin G3X panel, which sounded very interesting to me.

Are there any other options out there people are considering?

I've never seen this before, awesome! I was just going to put a somewhat hidden sticker co detector because I don't want to waste panel space with the other integrated sensor options. I know its not really an answer to your question, but I'll be getting one of these that you posted!

Phil, check with Midwestpanels (https://midwestpanels.com/sling-tsi-avionics-packages/), they offer this, and recently they presented (YouTube) a new option for this.

Yes, Adam from Midwest Panel worked with them after talking with a few months ago about it.

I was wondering about this myself. Since the heater does not use the conventional exhaust shroud, there's no risk of CO from the heater itself, right? Seems to make CO much less of an issue.

I do like the Aithre EX 3.0 CO detector, as it’s reasonably priced and it integrates into the G3X, as does their O2 bottle monitor.

As for Pulse Oximeter, I think I would just get the new Apple Watch for that.
