I have bought a place in the line to build a TSi High Wing.
Living in Denmark in the northern part of Europe I have decided to prime the plane using an epoxy primer (Hempadur 15553)
https://www.hempel.com/products/hempadur-15553-15553
Is that choice completely off? Sourcing products used in the US in Europe is almost impossible. Maybe other European builders have better alternatives!
Then there is the question about how to apply the primer. Hempel recommend using an airless gun. Is an airless system too brutal? What would you recommend?
Kind regards
Epoxy primer?

Re: Epoxy primer?
Pascal Latten, who's building a Sling 2 in the Netherlands did a lot of research on primers and particularly some that he can source in Europe.
He did a big write up on his blog here: https://www.latten.net/sling2/2016/09/0 ... ch-primer/
I don't think he looked into the Hempadur that you mentioned, but he brought up a few good considerations and other possible options you could look into.

Re: Epoxy primer?
I ended up using a 2 part epoxy primer. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/ ... primer.php
I’m using a Fuji MiniMite3 turbine/ sprayer and it shoots great. Yes it’s more work but all in all I don’t really feel like it’s that bad.
