Hi - my name is Mike Blackburn.
I'm a Sling 4 owner (S/n 009) based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Been flying for 2,5 years now and bought my Sling second hand (pre loved?) about 6 months after completing my PPL(A). Had never considered a Sling before I flew one - and then I was hooked. There are very few aircraft with the performance capabilities in terms of useful load, fuel capacity and running costs that come anywhere near the 4.
I have a blog at http://www.flyinggas.co.za where I post about our flights in ZU-IBM 'Miss Daisy' and a YouTube channel where I demonstrate my dreadful video editing skills...
Will be watching this site with interest.
Mike

Re: Sling 4 owner, enjoying flight in South Africa
My last job was with Ethiopian Airlines based in Addis Abba. I used to flying into there I never did layovers in Johannesburg, only in Cape Town and Durban. I wish I knew about this plane when I worked there so I would have gone down and checked it out. I loved flying in Africa and I hope to get back someday....as a tourist.
