Allowable twist

Post by lutorm »

I'm getting ready to rivet my HS and no matter how we attempt to sequence the clecos we end up with a twist of about 0.3 degrees from one end rib to the other. The instructions just say that it should be straight, but with no tolerance. Has anyone heard of one?

I'd recommend reaching out to technical@slingaircraft.com to ask about guidance. A .3 degree doesn't seem like much to me, but they should be able to advise what the tolerances is/are.

Just to close the loop here, the factory said 0.3 degrees is acceptable. (They didn't specify how much more, if anything, would be OK though.)
