HW Cies Fuel Sender combo

Post by Montreal »

Question for HW builders. Is anyone installing Cies fuel senders on their HW and are you replacing all 3 (2 main and 1 header)? I contacted cies and they said they were not familiar with HW and have only worked with Sling TSi.

I specified CiES fuel senders for my factory built HW which has just completed test flying and is about to be loaded into a container for shipping. Early last month, I requested confirmation that they were installed in both wing tanks and the header tank and the reply was yes.

Thanks @reigate... Midwest Panel Builders has since informed me that they prefer to use the generic Sling header tank fuel sender as a "low" switch to send message to Garmin G3X crew alert system rather than showing a fuel quantity level in the header tank. The wing fuel tank senders are the same as the Sling TSi which you can pre-order on CiES website. With this configuration, the HW would only need two wing CiES senders.
